Discovery Center for Children. She has attended DOE Pre-K staff development meetings for ten years to learn new curriculum ideas for the children. Angela Kohlbrecher

Angela applies her 13 years of experience in various facets of early childhood education to co-direct and teach at A.B.L.E. Discovery Center for Children. As a Nursery Instructor for two years and a Substitute Instructor for 8 years, Angela directed group lessons, expressive art activities, and music and movement sessions. In addition, as Play Group Director for a nursery school, Angela introduced the 2-year-old children to positive social interaction with one another while easing the transition away from their parents.

Previously hired as the Science Enrichment Teacher for Grades 1-5 by Kingsborough Community College, Angela combined her love of science with her love of children to create a science enrichment program for early childhood education which she implemented for 3 years. She used this experience to tailor a science enrichment program specifically for the children of A.B.L.E. Discovery Center for Children. She has also developed Italian lessons for the children to introduce them to another language and learn basic terminology.

Angela earned a B.S. in Biology from the University of Scranton and worked for the VA Hospital in Manhattan doing Medical Research until she started her family. Angela is the proud mother of two teenage children, Ryan and Samantha.
